Lauren Groff and I had two great events, the first at McNally Jackson in NYC, and the second at Brookline Booksmith in the Boston area. Both readings were packed with exceedingly lovely people. In addition to reading from our books, we discussed Wham!, Reagan, survivalist techniques, hypothetical elevator strandings with Franzen, Put-a-bird-on-it merchandise, and our bug-infested writing retreats.
Above is a sweet photo from Brookline. I'm wearing a gift - a friend's vintage dress she sent to me last week - it's covered in owls. The look I'm wearing: happiness and exhaustion. The next photo is a shot of Lauren and me at McNally Jackson.
Craving Vermont, fat baby legs, dog kisses, and my own bed.
